PELUM Zambia Commemorates the International Year of the Millets
PELUM Zambia joined other civil society organisations and the rest of the world in commemorating the Year of the millets under the theme: Unleashing the Potential of Millets for the Well-Being of People and the Environment.” FIAN Zambia, Zambia Alliance for Agroecology and Biodiversity (ZAAB), Center for Technology Development Trust (CTDT), and The Consumer Unity Trust Society (CUTS) collaborated in hosting a public campaign to celebrate the Declaration made during the United Nations (UN) General Assembly during its 75th session in March 2021 of 2023 as International Year of the Millets.
